Global Gaming Expo Asia Puts the Spotlight on Asia and its Gaming Sector this May 2017
The Global Gaming Expo Asia is a highly anticipated event in the iGaming industry. It provides stakeholders a chance to meet, network, and learn about the latest trends, news, and updates within the industry. It is common to see new games and software developments unveiled in trade shows and expositions. Majority of these trade shows and conferences are traditionally hosted in major cities in Europe and the United States, but a different kind of trade show and exposition in iGaming is underway and will be hosted outside Europe and the US. This year, The Global Gaming Expo Asia happened in Macau last May 16 – 18, putting the spotlight on Asia and the status of iGaming within the region.
The international casino gaming trade and convention is focused on the Asian market, and is run by the American Gaming Association (AGA) and the Reed Exhibition. It is a one-stop sourcing platform designed to link providers and suppliers to casino operators in Asia to provide responsive casino products and services. More than 120 future technology leaders attended the event and were sources of insights and inspiration for casino operators. For over a decade, the event has been hosted in Macau, considered the heart of casino entertainment in Asia.
Aside from being a platform where casino operators, vendors, and stakeholders can meet and network, the conference also informs and educates the participants. Industry insiders and security specialists talk about the best practices that can be adopted by casino operators to address security threats. The conference recently held a special plenary session focusing on fraud and security threats and risks in the casino segment. Furthermore, the conference holds an Asian Markets Forum that assesses the current issues affecting the casino industry in various countries, including Singapore, Macau, Japan, and the Philippines. The goal of G2E Asia 2017 is to put Asia’s casino industry in the limelight and allow invited speakers to focus on the future of casino gaming and entertainment, while also boosting revenues and driving tourism.
