Just in: NetEnt Suspends Street Fighter II

NetEnt, a prominent iGaming software provider from Sweden, has suspended the recently released Street Fighter II: The World Warrior, only one week after its launch due to “internal concerns” regarding gamblers’ staking behavior. The slot game, based on the well-known 90s arcade games, was available for distribution among NetEnt’s partners but was suspended due to certain staking mechanics that affected bet sizes when players approached the bonus rounds. NetEnt has confirmed the suspension and will announce its next steps following an internal investigation. Although the game is still available on the provider’s site for a free demo version, several online casino websites have removed Street Fighter II: The World Warrior from their portfolios. NetEnt has also identified a fix to prevent the issue from occurring and will make the game available again once it is certified by their test house.
